This is just a cool video of some guy showing how a lot of pop songs use the same 4 chords. Personally, it’s interesting how many different ways these chords have been flipped. Lots of songs you’ll recognize, and yes, the tune he’s playing is “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey. Also, I’m loving the dude in the bean bag chair playing XBox, you can tell he totally loves hearing this.

Legendary producer Pete Rock does his thing on the MPC. For all the up-and-coming producers out there, takes some notes from a master. Also, definitely look into getting an MPC if you can. We have the classic Akai MPC 200Xl here at Chronically Inclined, and it’s the centerpiece of our set-up.

 
 
“More Than a Game”, the documentary chronicling Lebron James and the rest of the “Fab Five” from Akron’s St. Vincent St. Mary high school, opens this Friday.
 This is all of us at Chronically Inclined’s hometown, so you know we gotta show it some love!!  All my Ohio people know what it is!!

Drumma Boy kills this beat in like 5 minutes, there’s none other like him. Watch this man, he is off the hook.

This is a clip of singer/songwriter/producer extraorinaire Ryan Leslie creating his hit single from a few years back “Diamond Girl”. He edited the video to look like all of his “alter egos” were creating the track at the same time.
This, my friends, is how a true musician does it.

One of my favorite producers, Drumma Boy, kicks it in the studio with rapper OJ Da Juiceman. The beat he has playing in this clip is some straight heat!!
